Our CEO Fabio Bonomo took part in the conference “Art, Technology and New Perceptions”, an integral part of the digital exhibition UNFRAMED – Toward a New Reality, with a presentation dedicated to the European project H2020 AUTOMATA and its role in redefining the relationship between technology, robotics, and culture.
During his talk, Bonomo illustrated how the technologies developed within the AUTOMATA project represent a concrete example of how artificial intelligence and robotic systems can contribute to the preservation and enhancement of cultural heritage.
Through the creation of digital twins of archaeological artifacts and artworks, and the use of an intelligent robotic cell, the project enables the digitization, preservation, and rediscovery of often-forgotten pieces, making them once again accessible to scholars and the public.
The UNFRAMED initiative thus serves as an important opportunity for dialogue between scientific research, technological innovation, and culture, highlighting how the synergy among these fields can open up new perspectives for the understanding and appreciation of artistic and scientific heritage.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the EstOvestEst Association and its President Elisa Debernardi, promoter of the project, to the exhibition curator Claudio Francesconi, to Fabrizio Grossi for organizational support, and to Angela Calò for moderating the discussion.
Special thanks also to all the speakers and participants who, through their contributions, enriched the debate with insights and visions on the future relationship between art and technology: Donato Todisco, Gabriella Porcaro, Sara Taglialagamba, Antonio Frisoli, Alessandro Carugini, Piergiuseppe Rechichi, Giammarco Montalbano, Andrea Porcaro D’Ambrosio, Max Poli, and Angela Calò.
