VSoft Pro: Upper Limb Prosthesis with Controllable Stiffness

The VSoft Pro ERC Proof of Concept project, developed by qbrobotics and IIT, aims to revolutionize the field of transhumeral prostheses for upper limbs through the use of advanced technologies inspired by soft robotics.

The goal is to create a prosthesis capable of replicating the natural behavior of the human musculoskeletal system, offering user-controllable stiffness and passive adaptability to ensure safer and more natural interactions.
With intuitive control, the prosthesis will be perceived as an extension of the body, enhancing comfort and acceptance.
The project places great emphasis on users’ needs, collecting feedback to customize the design and develop a clinically viable prototype, ideal for demonstrating the effectiveness of this innovation in real-world scenarios.
VSoft Pro represents a decisive step toward more natural, functional, and widely accepted prosthetic solutions.
